First things first, we have to establish daily drivers for the wife and I:
Hers - next year's Volvo XC90
His - A car that suits almost all professional needs, much like a navy blue Brooks Brothers two-button suit with a J. Crew blue gingham checkered non-iron button down shirt. The kind of car that necessitates having a pair of driving shoes that you change out of like Mr. Rogers once you reach your destination.
Now let's have some fun. The Mrs. and I are outdoorsy folk and fancy doing some overland camping well off the beaten track. So that means we need a fully built diesel Defender 110:
And as a second rig for normal camping for only a couple days, our Disco II fully built as well:
And because I love British off-roaders, that means I will spend ample time putting work and parts into them, so rather than hiring a tow-truck every time that they need work I would like one of these.
No mods, no Bro-turcking it up, just a simple and yet EXTREMELY comfortable and nice truck to drive long distances while towing.
Now I am a bit of a Porsche-phile, except that I have neither the money for one, nor the proper ability to drive one, but still I want these two ladies:
928 S, the first car I experienced "ludicrous-speed", these are undoubtedly the least favored of all Porsche but I will always have a flame in my yearning heart for it.
And because it lived on my wall and was my favorite Hot Wheels car when I was a boy, a 993 GT2
Now some would say I don;t need any more fast cars, but I am one of the few that thinks the 650s Spider is an astonishingly beautiful machine, from its' sinister grin to its' wailing smal displacement V8, this car pushes all the buttons that sadly modern Porsche and Ferrari do not.
And now we add in a couple classics that I love despite all of their faults. First, a more modern classic, an M coupe with the S54 mill.
And something once dubbed by Senor Ferrari himself "the most beautiful car ever designed", a Mk 1 E-Type Jaaaaaaaag.
